2019 ended on a wonderful note and and definitely not how I expected the year to end.
In October of last year, Mike and I went to America. We began our holiday in Kansas City, Missouri with his mum, step dad and sister. We had a great time! Lots of sights to see, wine tasting, shooting, lots of eating and playing board games. Really good quality time getting to know his family.
We then headed up to Bangor, Maine where his dad is. Maine in Autumn is beautiful. We were lucky enough to be there as the leaves were turning and flying into the City was just a sea of orange, red and green.
We ate Maine lobster the messy way (the photos were hilarious), adventured up to Moose Head Lake, and took a trip to Portland.
However, the most exciting part of this trip was our last night together before we were apart for 5 weeks. It was the night that we chose to take the next step. It was the night the he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
The night I said yes.
A roller-coaster of a month flew by and by the end of November we had moved to the UK (planed before we got engaged) and by Christmas Eve we were in our house.
Everything was falling into place.
